Classical Problems in Philosophy centered around philosophical texts which helped us evaluate the essential question: How do we know what we know? We explored Socrates' Apology, Descartes' Meditations, Searle's Mind and Body Problem, and David Hume's Enquiry. The ways in which these pieces provide us with an understanding of our existence and the world which we inhabit was examined at length. In the latter part of the semester, Immanuel Kant and John Stuart Mill, and their ideals regarding ethical practices and judgements. This piece is an examination of utilitarianism and the applicability of it's principles in the modern world.

Leadership and the World This class explored how we as individuals can make an impact on the world. We took the StrengthsQuest assessment to find our top five strengths in order to help us better understand ourselves as leaders. We also outlined our personal leadership philosophy and how we could use our top strengths advantageously in order to be more effective leaders. An essential element of being a good leader is knowing yourself and being able to reflect on your strengths and limitations in order to grow your leadership skills.
